IPL 2023: Delhi Metro Extends Last Train Timings On Match Days, Check Revised Schedule

The first of the seven league matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium will be played between the Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Titans on Tuesday (April 4, 2023).

In view of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 matches in the National Capital, Delhi Metro has decided to extend the timings of its last trains by 30-45 minutes on all lines barring the Airport Express Line on match days. Notably, Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium is set to host as many as seven league matches scheduled on April 4, 11, 20 and 29 and May 6, 13, and 20th.

The first of the seven matches will be played between the Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Titans on Tuesday (April 4, 2023). Notably, the tournament is returning to its traditional home and away format this year with each team playing 7 home and 7 away matches before the Playoff fixtures. With Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium home to the David Warner-led Delhi Capitals, the venue will get to host the team's home matches.

"DMRC will be extending its last train timings by about 30-45 minutes on all Lines (except Airport Line) to enable spectators to reach their destination smoothly," the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in an official release.

Notably, the venue of the IPL matches is adjacent to the Delhi Gate Metro station on the Violet Line which runs from Kashmiri Gate to Raja Nahar Singh Metro Stations. The official statement of DRMC has also confirmed that connecting service will be provided to all directions at interchange stations of  Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Kashmere Gate, Kirti Nagar, Inderlok and Lajpat Nagar.

Meanwhile, additional token vending machines, pre-vended token counters and staff will also be deployed at the Delhi Gate Metro Station to facilitate passengers.
