Football Legend Cristiano Ronaldo Tests Coronavirus Positive, To Miss Portugal's Nations League Game Against Sweden

Concerns about some more players had also increased after Ronaldo's test report turned positive as he was seen in a picture with his teammates about 17 hours ago. Portugal's legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been infected with the dreaded Coronavirus. His report came positive on Tuesday. After this, the Juventus forward will have to stay in quarantine for 14 days. Italy's new quarantine rules require at least a 10-day isolation period. Ronaldo has also been ruled out of the match against Sweden after testing positive for the virus.

Portugal Football Federation has confirmed the news. The federation said that Ronaldo is doing well and has no symptoms. The PFF confirmed in a statement: "Following the positive case, the remaining players underwent new tests this Tuesday morning, all with a negative result, and are available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon, in Cidade do Futebol.

"The game (against Sweden), counting for the qualification phase of the Nations League, is scheduled for Wednesday, at 19:45, in Alvalade."
