Star India batter Virat Kohli is one of the most celebrated cricketers in the world. Around the globe, Kohli has fans who are willing to go to any extend to get an opportunity to meet him or have dinner with him. However, there are people even the former India skipper fanboys over. In a latest video shared on his social media, Kohli expresses regret at never getting to meet legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar.
When the interviewer asks Kohli which historical female figure he would like to go on a dinner with, Kohli said that he never met Mangeshkar, who holds the distinction of recording over 30,000 songs in 14 Indian languages, and it would have been great to interact with her. Mangeshkar passed away in February 2022.
"I never got the chance to meet Lataji, so it would have been amazing to have a conversation and get to know about her life and about her journey a little bit more," Kohli said in the video.
Meanwhile, there were other interesting questions asked to the star athlete and he responded to each one of them. When quizzed the historical figure he would want to be stranded on an island with, he took his time before naming boxing legend Muhammad Ali.

The interview started with him being asked an advice that he would want to give his 16-year-old self. Here is what the 34-year-old replied: "Learn about the world a little (bit) more, open your mind up a little more, there is life beyond Delhi as well."
Talking about his cricketing assignments, the right-handed batter is currently on a break after being rested for the home T20I series against New Zealand. However, he will be crucial to the Men in Blue's chances in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as India host Australia for four Test matches at home. Kohli has returned to his run-scoring best in the limited-overs format after a period of slump but his Test form hasn't been too great in the recent past.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore star will be determined to score big in the Test series, with his last hundred in the purest form of the game coming way back in November 2019.
