IPL 2025: Captain Rajat Patidar Not Among RCB's Top 3 Most Expensive Players – Check List

Let's take a look at Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) top earners in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

RCB most expensive players in IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has appointed Rajat Patidar as their new captain for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, placing the 31-year-old in charge of the franchise.

Before the IPL mega auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) retained Patidar for Rs 11 crore. However, despite being the team's skipper, he isn't the highest-paid player in the squad. In fact, three players are earning more than him.

Let's take a look at Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) top earners in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

1. Virat Kohli – Rs 21 Crore

Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) former captain, Virat Kohli, remains their most expensive player. Before Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, the franchise retained him for Rs 21 crore. Beyond his contributions on the field, Kohlis presence is important for Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) brand value.

Despite stepping down as captain, he has reaffirmed his commitment to the franchise, stating that he will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as long as he is in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

2. Josh Hazlewood – Rs 12.50 Crore

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made a big investment in their pace attack during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, securing Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood for Rs 12.50 crore. His experience and skill make him the second-highest-paid player in the squad.

3. Phil Salt – Rs 11.50 Crore

England's aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman Phil Salt also commands a higher salary than Patidar. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) acquired him for Rs 11.50 crore in the auction, expecting him to play a key role with the bat and behind the stumps.

With veteran keeper Dinesh Karthik nearing the end of his IPL career, Salt is a strong contender to take over the wicketkeeping duties for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) IPL 2025 squad: Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar (captain), Yash Dayal, Liam Livingstone, Phil Salt, Jitesh Sharma, Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Krunal Pandya, Rasikh Dar, Suyash Sharma, Swapnil Singh, Tim David, Jacob Bethell, Romario Shepherd, Lungi Ngidi, Nuwan Thushara, Devdutt Padikkal, Swastik Chikara, Manoj Bhandage, Abhinandan Singh and Mohit Rathee.
