Tamil Nadu Class 10, 12 Private Candidate Hall Tickets 2025 Released – How To Download From dge.tn.gov.in

The Classes 10, 11 and 12 candidates are advised to take a printout of their hall ticket and carry it to the examination center.

The Directorate of Government Examinations has announced that the hall tickets for private candidates for upcoming SSLC (Class 10) and Higher Secondary First Year and Second Year (Class 11, 12) public examinations scheduled for March/April 2025 in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will be made available online.

Candidates appearing for the exams can download their hall tickets from February 14, 2025, through the official website www.dge.tn.gov.in.

To download the hall ticket:

  • Visit www.dge.tn.gov.in.
  • Click on the “HALL TICKET” option.
  • Select “SSLC / HIGHER SECONDARY FIRST YEAR / SECOND YEAR - MARCH/APRIL 2025 PRIVATE CANDIDATE HALL TICKET
  • DOWNLOAD”.Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth as required.
  • Submit the details and download your hall ticket.


Candidates are advised to take a printout of their hall ticket and carry it to the examination center.

The Tamil Nadu board exams for private candidates will proceed as scheduled. The Class 10 practical exams will be held from February 22 to 28, 2025. Similarly, the theory exams for Class 10 are set for March 18 to April 15, 2025.

For Class 11 students, practical exams will take place from February 15 to 21, 2025 followed by theory exams from March 5 to 27, 2025. 

On the other hand, Class 12 practical exams are scheduled from February 7 to 14, 2025, with theory exams running from March 3 to 25, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu State Board has introduced a revised exam pattern for both private and regular students. Under the new structure, each subject in the Class 12 public exams will carry either 70 or 90 marks, with students required to adhere to the updated marking scheme, as reported by Shiksha.

Private candidates who had previously failed under the old syllabus (where each subject was out of 200 marks) must now reappear for the equivalent subject under the new syllabus. If a student clears the written exam but does not appear for the practical exam, they will be required to reattempt only the practical component.
