IPL has always acted as a launchpad for budding cricketers. Every year, a plethora of youngsters not only get a chance to play alongside their idols but also receive valuable tips which help them grow as a better player.
Dubey and pacer Navdeep Saini were the two youngsters who were inducted into the RCB playing XI. While Dube couldn’t score much, Saini impressed with his disconcerting pace. He even hit CSK opener Shane Watson on the helmet in one over but didn’t scalp any wicket on turning track.
“He [Saini] has been good in conditions where there's some grass, got his chance now. He will play a big role in the time to come. I thought CSK played really well, they deserved to win, but I loved to see our team fighting all the way,” said Virat Kohli.
