WATCH: Suresh Raina sets ‘strange’ record while batting in England after 4 years

Suresh Raina last played a cricket match in England in 2014

Almost after 4 long years, Indian veteran Suresh Raina made an outing for India on the English soil in the limited overs cricket. During the 2nd T20I in Cardiff, Raina came out to bat when the men-in-blue were in trouble. Despite getting off the mark, Raina soon set a dismissal record in his career.

In his 77th T20I match for India, Raina was stumped by Jos Buttler off Adil Rashid’s delivery on 27. It was painful to see him losing his wicket after getting the momentum. At the same time, it was surprising to know that the left-hand batsman got stumped for the first time in his T20I career.

Here's the video:

He last played a cricket match in England in 2014. In the only T20I game of the series, raina scored 25 off 20 balls. India lost the game by 3 runs.

Raina, who came in to bat when India were reduced to 22 for 2, hit 1 six and two boundaries during his short stint at the crease.

Skipper Virat Kohli remained the highest run-getter, scoring 47 off 38 deliveries. Then it was MS Dhoni who remained unbeaten at 32. India posted a minimal score of 148/5 by the end of first innings.

In return, England chased the target with 5 wickets in hand and 2 balls to spare to level the series.

The final game of the rubber will be played on Sunday at the County Ground, Bristol.
