WATCH: Rishabh Pant affects 1st stumping in Test cricket

The way Pant collected the ball and dislodged the bails will surely remind of MS Dhoni

Rishabh Pant may have missed his 2nd Test century against West Indies by a whisker, but he didn’t let down the team with his work behind the wickets. The 21-year-old showcased some classing wicketkeeping skills which reminded us of MS Dhoni for a moment who has left donning the white jersey since 2014.

While the Caribbean guests are struggling to save their pride after following-on, Pant affected a lightning fast stumping to take India closer to a stunning victory. Moreover, it was his first stumping in Test cricket.

The incident happened during the 23rd over. Kuldeep, who already had hunted two Windies batters down, was on the attack. His googly perfectly bamboozled Ambris who walked down the crease but missed the shot. Pant made no mistake in gathering the ball and dislodging the bails within the blink of an eye.

Here’s the video:

It was Kuldeep’s 3rd wicket while he went on to take two more to claim the first five-wicket haul in Test cricket.
