WATCH: Rishabh Pant's 1st birthday bash with Team India

Well, it was a celebration which kickstarted on Thursday and ended beautifully on Friday in Rajkot

Rishabh Pant showcased a terrific piece of batting when he took the centre stage along with Virat Kohli against West Indies on Friday. A day after Prithvi Shaw’s mighty knock, Pant continued punishing the opponent bowlers. He might have missed his 2^nd Test ton by a whisker but got the first Test fifty with a fifty which ultimately made him a deserving candidate to travel to Australia in the forthcoming Test series.

It all happened a day after his 22^nd birthday which he celebrated with a blast. After the first day’s game, the team gathered at the hotel to cut the cake. Following the tradition of the team, the birthday boy received a cake facial.

The team members smeared cake on pant’s face and wished a great birthday. However, the young gun from Delhi stated in his social media post that the one whose birthday is next will get the same treatment.

On the second day of the first Test, Pant looked very much confident while batting alongside Kohli. The 21-year-old youngster from reached the feat in just 57 balls with the help of 8 fours and 4 sixes. He ended up scoring 92 off 84 balls.
