Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has opened up on his post-retirement plans at a recent event. The former Indian international stated that he intends on to spending more time in the Indian Army, which he said he has missed upon couple of past years.
The 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) winner holds the honorary rank of Lieutanent Colonel in the Indian Army and has often spend time with the Indian Army personnel in the past. The five-time IPL winner was looking all set to retire post 2023 IPL season and the foundation of it was laid by the Chennai-based side as they embarked a journey of perfect farewell for the legendary captain by winning a thrilling final against Gujarat Titans at their home, The Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad.

The Ranchi-based cricketer saw a swansong of a tournament as he received innumerable amount of love and support around the country and fans were often seen donning the yellow shirt wherever CSK played in-order to give Dhoni a tribute worth all of it. However, acknowledging the fanfare, love, and support around the country and also globe, MS Dhoni stated that inspite of carrying an injury that needed a surgery, he'll still try his best to give back to his fans for all the love and support showered upon him as he looks set to captain the five-time IPL winning franchise one more time.
The probable Last Dance of 'Thala' MS Dhoni will start next year when IPL 2024 commences, where CSK will be defending their title after having a goo day at the IPL Auction on December 19, where they successfully managed to fill in the desired slots with the buys of ODI World Cup 2023 star, all-rounder Rachin Ravindra from New Zealand, and his compatriot, the all-rounder Daryl Mitchell. They also managed to pen in the services of Uttar Pradesh's young power-hitting sensation, Sameer Rizvi.
