Tendulkar, Dhoni, AB welcome Kohli to Club 30

Virat Kohli's 30th Birthday: Wishes poured in for the Indian captain as the cricketing world celebrated Virat Kohli's 30th birthday.

Diwali came early in the cricket world as current and former cricketers around the globe welcomed Indian captain Virat Kohli into club 30 on the occasion of his 30th birthday.

Not a part of the Indian T20 side for the West Indies series, Kohli is spending his birthday with wife Anushka Sharma in Haridwar.

Here’s how the cricketing world celebrated Kohli’s 30th birthday.

Former teammates

It began with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar as accolades and wishes poured in thick and fast as the Indian captain entered the 30s.

"Wishing you a lot of success and happiness in the year ahead. Happy Birthday, @imVkohli!" Tendulkar wrote on his twitter handle.

"Wishing @imVkohli lots of success and fulfilment in the coming year," wrote VVS Laxman.

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag said, "On this Dhanteras, wish you a year that is again filled with Runteras. #HappyBirthdayVirat."

Suresh Raina wrote, "Cricket Samrat, Happy Birthday Virat! Have a good one buddy!.

Ace spinner Harbhajan Singh tweeted, "Happy birthday to you brother @imVkohli! Hope to see you break more records and smash more tons this year! God bless: stay happy #HappyBirthdayVirat."

Current teammates

Mohammad Shami said, "Many many happy returns of the day bro."

"Happy Birthday brother @imVkohli ! Wish you a wonderful year ahead...! Love and goodwishes!" Wriddhiman Saha wrote.

Dhoni’s PUBG wish

BCCI posted a video on their official website to celebrate Kohli’s 30th birthday in which the members of the current Indian side are seen wishing the Indian captain on his special day.

Dhoni was the star of the video with by far the most unique wish on Kohli’s birthday

“Hi Virat! Wish you a very happy birthday. I know you are a big PUBG fan because I have just found this old picture of yours. So why don’t you come and especially teach Manish Pandey how to play a first person shooting game?” he said in the video.

Opponents? Yes, Enemies? Not at all

“The big 30! Happy bday my friend. Hope it’s one very special day,” wrote RCB teammate and former South African captain AB de Villiers.

“With Virat Kohli celebrating his 30th birthday today, let's take a look back at his maiden Test ton from 2012 against the Aussies!” wished Cricket Australia

Afghanistan's ace spinner Rashid Khan, "Sending you smiles for every moment of your special day. Have a wonderful time and a very happy birthday!"

The special wish

Kohli's better half, Anushka Sharma, said, "Thank God for his birth."
