Rohit's records: Most hundreds in the world; most runs and sixes by an Indian

Rohit Sharma records: Rohit Sharma's 4th hundred took him to the top of the most centuries list. He also surpassed regular captain Virat Kohli to become India's highest run-scorer in T20 Internationals during the second game against the West Indies.

Rohit Sharma once again broke records for fun as his 4th T20I hundred – the most in the world – powered India to a sizable 195 for 2 batting first at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Rohit also surpassed regular captain Virat Kohli to become India's highest run-scorer in T20 Internationals during the second game against the West Indies.

Rohit needed just 11 runs to surpass Kohli's record before the start of the match and the Mumbaikar achieved the feat in style, clobbering a 149kph delivery off pacer Oshane Thomas over the mid-off boundary in the fifth over.

Before Tuesday, Kohli held the record, amassing 2102 runs from 62 T20 matches at an average of 48.88.

Rohit took 86 matches to reach the milestone. He now has 2203 runs in T20 Internationals.

Rohit finished with an unbeaten 111 off 61 balls which was laced with 7 sixes taking him to the 2nd spot in the most sixes list in T20Is. Rohit now has 96 sixes in T20Is, only 7 short of the world record jointly held by Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum.

Rohit put on a 123-run opening stand with Shikhar Dhawan – their third century stands in the format – to become the only player in the world to be involved in 8 100+ stands in T20Is.
