Fancode Stops Live Streaming Of Pakistan Super League Matches In India

Fancode, the Indian digital platform holding the exclusive online streaming rights for PSL 2025, has suspended its live coverage of the league.

Following the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, which claimed 26 lives and left 17 injured, nationwide outrage has led to a series of strong retaliatory measures by India.

Among these is a major step targeting Pakistan's cricketing landscape, particularly the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025.

PSL streaming halted on Fancode

Fancode, the Indian digital platform holding the exclusive online streaming rights for PSL 2025, has suspended its live coverage of the league.

Starting April 24, PSL matches will reportedly no longer be streamed on the platform. This move comes as a direct fallout of the Pahalgam attack and is expected to severely affect the tournament's digital viewership, especially from Indian and global audiences that accessed matches through Fancode.

Dream11 pulls PSL matches

Adding to the blow, Dream11 - India's leading fantasy sports app - has removed all PSL 2025 matches from its app and website. This eliminates any engagement with the Pakistan Super League on fantasy platforms, further isolating the league from Indian audiences.

For the unversed, PSL 2025 player draft had focused on unsold players from the IPL 2025 mega auction, reflecting the close connection between the two leagues.

India launches strong diplomatic offensive against Pakistan

At least 26 individuals, most of them tourists including a Nepalese citizen, were killed in a horrific terrorist attack at the popular tourist destination of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

In response, India has launched a strong diplomatic offensive against Pakistan. Several countermeasures have been initiated as part of India's broader effort to hold Pakistan accountable and intensify pressure over its alleged support for terrorism.

The Attari-Wagah integrated checkpost has been shut down with immediate effect.

The Indus Waters Treaty - the 1960 water-sharing agreement between India and Pakistan - has been suspended until further notice.

Entry of Pakistani nationals into India has been completely barred.

India is withdrawing its Defence, Navy, and Air Force advisors from the High Commission in Islamabad.

Both countries will scale down their diplomatic presence, reducing the strength of their respective High Commissions to 30 personnel each.
