Arshdeep Singh Gets Trolled On Social Media For Bowling 5 No Balls In IND vs SL 2nd T20I
IND vs SL: Arshdeep's bowling figures read- 2-0-37-0 in the second T20I against Sri Lanka.
Cricket can be a cruel game at times. It was one of those days on the field for Arshdeep Singh. While he is a mighty fine youngster and was even nominated for the for the ICC Emerging Men’s Cricketer of the Year 2022, returning to cricket post a break, the left-arm pacer failed to get into any kind of rhythm.
In fact, one of his old problems came back to haunt him in the second India vs Sri Lanka T20I at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Replacing Harshal Patel in the Playing 11, Arshdeep bowled as many as 5 no balls in the match. It was a huge bonus for the Sri Lanka batters who made the most of the free hit deliveries that followed, some of which were also no-balls.
This meant that even though the spinners showed improvement from the series opener and tightened the screws in the middle, a total of 7 no balls and the runs scores off free hits helped the visitors easily post a total in excess of 200, putting India under pressure.
In the end, Arshdeep's bowling figures read- 2-0-37-0. Following a nightmarish outing, netizens were quick to troll the youngster.
"Jethalal ready to replace Arshdeep Singh for next match 💪🏻 #INDvSL #Noball #HardikPandya," wrote one user.
