Josh Inglis Reflects On Memorable Debut
It was indeed a special day at Galle for the Inglis family, as Josh Inglis scored a record-breaking ton. The Aussie was delighted with his feet, and stated that 'it has not sunk in yet'.
"I don't reckon it's quite sunk in yet. I don't know how long it will take but a really special day. Getting a boundary first ball is always very nice. Just to get off and get going nice and quickly. Because I've been around this group for a while, obviously it's a great occasion but it didn't feel like that extra jump in my head if you haven't played any other form. Been around this group for a while now and nice to get this opportunity," said Josh Inglis, during a post-match interview on Day 2.
"It's always nice to have your family around and for mum and dad to make the trip at the last minute, extra special. The average might probably go downhill from here but special to get a hundred on debut so I am pretty happy," he added.
