Maharashtra Youth Injures 3 In Knife Attack Following Argument On Mumbai Local Train, Arrested
Three passengers were injured in a knife attack on a local train in Maharashtra.

A 19-year-old youth injured three passengers in a knife attack on a local train in Maharashtra on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Sheikh Ziya Hussain, a resident of Mumbra was arrested by the police. The Dombivli Railway Police have also registered a case in connection with the matter.
The incident took place at around 9:45 am on Wednesday on a local train on its way from Kalyan to Mumbai, reported India Today. According to officials, the three injured passengers were given medical treatment and later discharged.
The accused was on board the train and realised that the train would not stop at Mumbra station. He tried to disembark at Dombivli but failed. Frustrated, he got into an argument with other passengers.
In a fit of rage, Hussain pulled out a sharp knife from his pocket and attacked his fellow passengers. The three people who sustained injuries were identified as Akshay Wagh (25), Hemant Kankaria (45) and Rajesh Changlani (39).

After the attack, another passenger overpowered Hussain and handed him over to railway police at Thane station. Upon receiving the information, cops reached the scene and arrested the accused, an official from Dombivli Railway Police told India Today TV, adding further investigation into the matter is underway.
Earlier this month, a 26-year-old man was killed when a group of people attacked him and another man over a dispute about a seat on an express train at Nandurbar railway station in Maharashtra.
One person was arrested while a minor was detained for the attack that injured the other person on board the Chennai-Jodhpur Express, according to an official.
Sumer Singh and Parbat Parihar (40), boarded the train from Chennai and were travelling to their hometown in Jodhpur, the official said.
The duo got into an argument with a passenger when the train reached Bhusawal station over a seat, and the latter called some of his friends to Nandurbar station, the official said.
The friends of the passenger attacked the duo with sharp weapons, injuring them, he said.
