Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma are now divorced! The couple have officially parted ways after completing the legal proceedings for their divorce.

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma are now divorced! The couple have officially parted ways after completing the legal proceedings for their divorce. The final hearing and all necessary formalities took place at the family court on Thursday with both present from 11:00 AM onwards, according to a lawyer familiar with the case.

During the hearing, the judge directed the couple to attend a counseling session, which lasted for about 45 minutes. When asked by the judge, both Chahal and Dhanashree confirmed that they were seeking a divorce with mutual consent.

In response to another query, the duo stated that they had been living separately for the past 18 months. When asked about the reason for their separation, Chahal and Dhanashree cited "compatibility issues" as the primary cause.

Following the discussions, the judge officially granted the divorce, declaring that the couple is no longer legally bound as husband and wife. The final verdict was pronounced at 4:30 PM at the Bandra Family Court.

Interestingly, hours before their scheduled court appearance, both Yuzvendra and Dhanashree took to social media to express gratitude towards God, a gesture that caught the attention of their followers. 

The cricketer took to Instagram story and wrote, “God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only image the times I've been rescued that I don't even know about. Thank you, god for always being there even when I don't know it. Amen”

While Dhanashree wrote, "from stressed to blessed. Isn't amazing how God can turn our worries and trials to blessings? If you're stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying or you can surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything. There is power in having faith that God can work all things together for your good."

Back in January, Dhanashree Verma addressed the speculation surrounding her separation from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal after facing social media trolling. She took to her Instagram story and wrote, “My silence is not a sign of weakness but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification.”
