Telangana Man Who Alleged Corruption In KCR’s Kaleshwaram Project Found Dead
Rajalingamurthy sustained severe injuries in the knife attack and succumbed while being transported to a hospital.

A man who had previously taken legal action against former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and others, alleging corruption in the Kaleshwaram project’s Medigadda barrage construction, was found murdered, police confirmed. The victim, N. Rajalingamurthy, aged around 50, was fatally stabbed by unidentified individuals on Wednesday evening. However, authorities have ruled out any political link to the crime, attributing it to a land dispute.
According to the police, as per a report on PTI, Rajalingamurthy was intercepted by two individuals while traveling on a motorcycle around 7:30 pm. He sustained severe injuries in the knife attack and succumbed while being transported to a hospital. An investigation has been launched, and a case has been registered.
In October 2023, Rajalingamurthy had filed a private complaint in court, seeking an FIR against KCR and others after parts of the Medigadda barrage reportedly "sank." Following this, KCR and his nephew, former minister T. Harish Rao, moved the Telangana High Court. In December, the High Court suspended an earlier order from the principal district sessions judge of Jayashankar Bhupalpally, which had permitted legal proceedings against them.
The investigation into Rajalingamurthy’s murder is ongoing, police added.
