Maruti Grand Vitara 7-Seater Expected Launch, Price And Hybrid Details

The 7-seater Grand Vitara most likely has a longer wheelbase and will get a different look in terms of the front as well as the rear

We have previously reported that a 7-seater version of the Grand Vitara has been a part of the product launch plans and the car will launch soon within a few months time after the introduction of the e Vitara. This will be the Alcazar rival from Hyundai and will be more than just an extended Grand Vitara. It will most likely have a different name and may not carry the Grand Vitara name but will be sold via the Nexa sales outlets.

The 7-seater Grand Vitara most likely has a longer wheelbase and will get a different look in terms of the front as well as the rear. It will be longer and there will be 6 as well as 7-seater versions of the car. The interior would be more or less the same as the Grand Vitara but will have more features for the rear passengers like on the Alcazar while a slightly different look to the cabin can be expected.

It could have sunshades and other premium features added here too. The 7-seater Grand Vitara will only come with the 1.5l mild hybrid version and the strong hybrid version. The rise of 7-seater SUVs means that Maruti Suzuki will tap into this segment space too. With the strong hybrid, the 7-seater version would be extremely fuel efficient and could be the most frugal SUV in its class.

The 7-seater version will expand the Maruti Suzuki line-up and will be more expensive over the Grand Vitara of course. We expect prices to start from Rs 14 lakh onwards while the standard Grand Vitara retails just above 11 lakh.
