IPL 2023: MS Dhoni Hits Massive Sixes During Net Session, Video Goes Viral

IPL 2023: Much like the last few seasons, there is speculation that this could be MS Dhoni's last season in the tournament.

The countdown has already begun for the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While a mini-auction was conducted in December last year, the actual season will commence in the last week of March or early April. One of the many reasons to watch this season of the T20 tournament will be MS Dhoni. The legendary India captain has retired from international cricket and fans get to see a glimpse of his cricketing brilliance on the field only during the IPL.

Much like the last few seasons, there is speculation that this could be his last season in the tournament. Since the 41-year-old does not play any competitive cricket other than the IPL, the four-time IPL-winning captain with the Chennai Super Kings has already started to get into the groove.

While earlier a report had emerged that Dhoni is only facing the spinners in the nets for now and will face the fast bowlers once the CSK camp begins, a video has now surfaced online where the ex-India captain can be seen smashing massive sixes during a net session. In no time, the clip has gone viral.

Here is the video:

MS Dhoni was in attendance with his wife Sakshi at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi when India took on New Zealand in the T20I series opener in his hometown. He also visited the dressing room of the Indian team and talked to the players. Meanwhile, India's captain for the T20I series Hardik Pandya even paid a visit to Dhoni's house and shared an adorable picture with him.

"Mahi bhai is here which is good as we get to meet him. We can get out of the hotel also (to meet him). Otherwise, the way we have played in the last one month, it has just been hotel to hotel," Hardik had said about the meeting with his former skipper before the Ranchi match.

Dhoni will continue to lead CSK this year.
