Ganguly surprised after Rohit’s exclusion from Indian Test squad

Sourav Ganguly took to twitter to express his dismay, at the same time congratulating the Indian squad for attaining the championship for the seventh time. The Indian veteran too seemed to be very surprised about Rohit not getting picked up in the 15-men Test squad slated to face West Indies

Twitterati lashed out at the selectors for ignoring the Asia cup winning captain Rohit Sharma in the squad for the two-match Test series against the Windies next month. By not selecting Rohit despite of his recent form, the selectors have sent out a strong message. Five years since his Test debut, Sharma is nowhere to be seen when it comes to the longer format of the game.

Apart from the fans, Sourav Ganguly too was surprised about Rohit not getting picked in the 15-men Test squad slated to face West Indies. The Indian veteran took to twitter to express his dismay, at the same time congratulating the Indian squad for attaining the championship for the seventh time.

The stand-in Indian limited-overs captain last appearance was in South Africa in January, but his poor form with the bat got him discarded as neither did he feature in the Test series against England, nor in India’s one-off Test against Afghanistan.
