India squad for IND vs ENG ODIs: Team India, on Saturday (January 18), announced its squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England.
India's squad for IND vs ENG ODIs was revealed by Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters in Mumbai.
India squad for IND vs ENG ODI series is almost identical to the one selected for ICC Champions Trophy 2025, with Harshit Rana replacing Jasprit Bumrah for the ODI series. Jasprit Bumrah picked up an injury during the fifth and final Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy. While he has been included in India's squad for 2025 Champions Trophy, his availability for the playing XI will depend on his recovery and fitness. It is expected that he may miss India's opening match against Bangladesh in the tournament.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is set to make his ODI debut in the upcoming series against England. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are ready to return to the format after a six-month break, with their last ODI appearance being against Sri Lanka in August 2024.
IND vs ENG ODI series is a big opportunity for India to fine-tune their preparations ahead of Champions Trophy. Notably, Mohammed Shami, who last featured in the ODI World Cup, makes his return to the ODI squad.
England's tour of India is set to commence on January 22, 2025, with a five-match T20I series scheduled to run until February 2. Following the T20Is, the teams will face off in a three-match ODI series from February 6 to February 12, 2025.
