Scenario 1 – England Win the Fourth Test
If England manages to secure victory on Day 5, which is highly unlikely, they will rise to the second spot in the WTC standings. A win will give them 3 wins from 4 games, boosting their point percentage to 70.83 – a major leap that strengthens their position in the championship race.
Scenario 2 – The Test Ends in a Draw
Despite England’s early dominance, India mounted a strong fightback led by KL Rahul and Shubman Gill. If the match ends in a draw, which will most likely happen, it will feel like a win for India.
