'Getting A Bit Slow': Shadab Khan's Hilarious Reply On Pakistan Players Having Hyderabadi Biryani
Pakistan will play their opening game against Scott Edwards’ Netherlands on Friday.
Pakistan’s vice-captain Shadab Khan came up with a hilarious reply after he was asked about whether Pakistani cricketers are having Hyderabadi biryani. Shadab who led the side in the warm-up match against Australia in World Cup 2023, took a cheeky dig and said that the players of his team have been slow because of eating the popular Indian food item on a regular basis.
"We are eating it daily, and perhaps that is why we are getting a bit slow (laughs)," Shadab was quoted as saying. The Men in Green will head to play the mega event after suffering debates in both their warm-up matches against New Zealand and the Aussies. They scored more than 300 runs on both occasions but could not manage to pull off a heist.

Hyderabadi biryani is one of the most delicious dishes in the world. Pakistan players have stepped into India for the first time since the 2016 World Cup. They also got a warm welcome at the airport in Hyderabad, and it seems like they have been enjoying their time in Hyderabad.
In a game against the Aussies, Pakistan were restricted to just 337 runs in 47.4 overs after being asked to chase down a target of 352. The likes of Babar Azam, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Mohammad Nawaz collected 90, 83, and 50 respectively, but their heroics went in vain.
"Result is not important. We took a lot of positives. Our attitude was good, result not in our hands. I think our 11 is sorted, we just wanted to give time to the bench to show their skills. When you play against Australia and New Zealand, you get confidence. We got a little bit experience of conditions [in Hyderabad]," he added.
Pakistan will play their opening game against Scott Edwards’ Netherlands on Friday, October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
