Rahul Dravid Farewell Match, IND VS SA T20 World Cup Final: Rahul Dravid has statistically been one of the greatest Indian coaches in the history of the ICT (Indian Cricket Team), yet, the former Indian batsman has only won Asia Cup 2023 as his major trophy with the side. The 51-year old has already created history, by leading the ICT into World Test Championship Final (2023), ODI World Cup Final (2023), and now, the T20 World Cup Final (2024).

However, the Indian coach has been extremely unlucky in the final of the previous two events, as Australia dominated India on both the occasions to give the Indian fans a heartbreak for a lifetime, as the ODI World Cup final in 2023 was held in India and India, despite of being the hot favourites and on a winning run walking into the final, ended up losing one-sided to the Aussies.

However, Rohit Sharma's men avenged their tormenting losses in 2023 by knocking the Aussies out from the T20 World Cup 2024 and now stand a great chance of ending their 11-year wait for an ICC trophy. Up against them is South Africa, who have, for a very long time, been labelled as 'Chokers', due to their ability of falling short in the knockout stages of the ICC events. Knowing the fact that history is on their side, India will be willing to go into the fixture with a psychological advantage over the Proteas.

However, it will be an emotional fixture for the ICT, as Rahul Dravid will be walking onto the fixture as their coach for the very last time. ‘The Wall’ had earlier announced that he will not be renewing his contract and has shed some light over the connections and bonds he created with the side over the period of time, and will be looking to bring an end to the quest of finally bringing an ICC trophy back home.
