Netizens say it is Aashiqui 3
Fans erupted with excitement after the announcement. One thrilled admirer commented, "MY MAN PLAYING GUITAR, WHAT ELSE DO I DREAM FOR??" while another declared, "The biggest love story LOADING……❤️🔥🙌"
Speculation over whether the film is indeed Aashiqui 3 also filled the comments section, with fans eagerly anticipating the return of the iconic romantic saga. "Finally, it's happening 😍🥹 Aashiqui 3," wrote one user. Others predicted a tearjerker, with one saying, "Get ready to cry in the theatre."
Why Triptii Dimri was removed from the film
Meanwhile, Triptii Dimri’s absence from the project led to various rumors, including claims that her recent bold roles influenced the casting decision. However, Anurag Basu had set the record straight. Speaking to HT City, he clarified, “I don’t know what the film is called right now; the shoot starts this month. We have not finalided the female lead yet—it will be announced in a week.”
Dismissing the rumors about Triptii Dimri’s "image" being a factor in the decision, Basu further explained, "Image was not the reason. I am the last person to judge an actor on the basis of the other characters they have played on screen. Aashiqui was not even the story anymore... I don’t know the source of these stories which came out.”
