CoA Doubles Indian Players' Daily Allowance For Overseas Trips

Committee of Administrators (CoA) have now decided to double their daily allowance for overseas trips

Team India under Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri has done incredibly well, both in home and away tours. Recently, India thrashed West Indies by 257 runs in the second Test to clinch the series 2-0. With this win, India moved to the top of World Test Championship standings with 120 points. Following India's winning run, Committee of Administrators (CoA) have now decided to double their daily allowance for overseas trips. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the Indian players and coaching staff will now get a daily allowance of $250 (Rs 17,799.30) as compared to the earlier amount of $125 (Rs 8,899.65). India is slated to play mostly at home this year, they are set to travel to New Zealand at the start of 2020. Earlier, a report by Mumbai Mirror revealed that coach Ravi Shastri would get a hike of 20 per cent in his annual CTC after the renewal of his contract as the Indian men's cricket team head coach. The massive hike will take Shastri's annual salary close to Rs. 9.5-10 crore. The 57-year-old was earlier earning about Rs 8 crore. The report further stated that the support staff is also expected to get a hike. Bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar are expected to get Rs 3.5 crore each, while newly-appointed batting coach Vikram Rathour will get an annual salary between Rs. 2.5-3 crore.
