BCCI Announce India Squad For First Two Tests Against England

IND vs ENG: The first of the five-match Test series gets underway on January 25.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India's squad for the first two-test matches of the five-match series against England. The first of the five-match Test series gets underway Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on January 25. The second Test match of the series will begin on February 2 at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

While Rohit Sharma will continue to be at the helm of affairs, KS Bharat and Dhruv Jurel have been named the wicketkeepers alongside KL Rahul. Ishan Kishan has failed to make it to the cut after reports claimed that the BCCI had taken disciplinary action on him. Another notable inclusion is that of Avesh Khan.

India In Middle Of Final T20I Series Before T20 World Cup 2024

As of now, India are in the middle of a T20I series against Afghanistan. They took on Afghanistan in the series opener at the IS Bindra Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali where they registered a comfortable 6-wicket victory. The action will now move to Indore and Bengaluru for the their second and third T20Is.
