Amid ban, Ahmed Shehzad added to PSL draft pool

Shehzad, who played 13 Tests, 81 ODIs and 57 T20 Internationals for Pakistan, was found guilty of failing in the Dope Test during the Pakistan Cup. After this he was temporarily suspended.

Pakistani batsman Ahmed Shehzad, who is facing a four-month ban for violating anti-doping rules, has been included in the draft pool of Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to a report in Cricbuzz, the ban on Shehzad has been implemented from July 10, which will now end on November 10 and after that he will return back to cricket.

Shehzad, who has been included in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) draft list of players, was part of the Multan Sultan team in PSL's last season.

The PCB had originally refrained from adding Shehzad to the pool but clarified Multan Sultans can still retain him in their squad. "Shehzad's name has now been added to the PSL pool of players. He is placed in the Gold category. Ahmed played for Multan Sultans last year and is currently placed on their roster. Multan can retain trade or release him back into the Draft pool," the board said in a release on Thursday (October 11).

Shehzad, who played 13 Tests, 81 ODIs and 57 T20 Internationals for Pakistan, was found guilty of failing in the Dope Test during the Pakistan Cup. After this he was temporarily suspended.
