Sawan Kanwar Yatra 2025: The holy month of Sawan holds special importance for Lord Shiv's devotees. It is a time for intense devotion, fasting, and worship. One of the most awaited events of this month is the Kanwar Yatra, a sacred pilgrimage filled with faith and spiritual energy.

During this annual Yatra, Kanwariyas chant “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bam Bam Bhole” as they journey to various Shiv temples. Devotees collect holy Ganga water from pilgrimage sites like Haridwar and Gangotri and offer it to the Shivling through an Abhishek ritual. It is believed that the Kanwar Yatra was first undertaken by Lord Parshuram, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiv. Since then, the tradition has come to represent unwavering faith and devotion.
