- Now, fill a copper vessel with water, roli, kumkum, and flowers. While facing the Sun, offer the water and chant the 12 names of the Sun God.
- On Makar Sankranti, it is considered auspicious to worship Lord Narayan with sesame seeds. There is also a tradition of eating khichdi and sesame laddus on this day for good fortune.
- On Makar Sankranti, it is considered beneficial to recite the Shri Narayan Kavach, Aditya Hriday Stotra, and Vishnu Sahasranama as part of the puja rituals for spiritual well-being and blessings.
