Guru Nanak Ji stated that wealth should be earned by renouncing greed, working hard, and doing so through just means.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji teaches that before achieving victory or success in the world, it is essential to learn to conquer the inner vices and evils within oneself.

Service As Action

Guru Nanak Dev Ji says that whenever you have the opportunity and the capability, you should help and serve others. One should never miss the chance to serve. Serving the poor, needy, and helpless not only increases one's good deeds but also brings satisfaction and peace. Therefore, never think selfishly and only about yourself.

Regarding equality and fairness, Guru Nanak Dev Ji stated that discrimination based on religion, caste, or gender is unjust. Therefore, Guru Nanak Dev Ji spoke for everyone and all religions. This is why it is said, “Nanak naam chardi kala, tere bhane sarbat da bhala,” meaning that by invoking Nanak’s name, one should advocate for the welfare of all. This approach ultimately leads to one’s own well-being.
