A major update has clarified whether Rohit will be part of the playing XI in IND vs NZ Sunday clash - India's final group stage match before semifinals.

Following the match against Pakistan, Rohit Sharma was reportedly not at full fitness, leading to uncertainty over his participation in the upcoming IND vs NZ fixture.

The Indian skipper opted to skip Wednesday's practice session, focusing instead on recovery while observing his teammates.

Addressing the situation, Team India's assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate provided reassurance, stating, "He is absolutely fine. He has had this injury before and knows how to manage it."

Despite this positive update, Ten Doeschate did not explicitly confirm whether Rohit will play against New Zealand. However, with the semi-finals approaching, the Indian captain is unlikely to take a break unless absolutely necessary.
