2016 World T20 hero may not get a game in IPL 2018

The West Indies T20 captain was roped in by the Sunrisers for INR 2 crore.

Having already qualified for the playoffs, coach Tom Moody still wants a stable XI and does not want any change.

Other players in the squad also have had many valuable contributions for the wins. The team has been very consistent with their playing XI and has had only forced changes in their playing XI.

“Because yes, we want to continue to win and secondly, I think it is important you have the continuity within the playing XI – people understanding what their roles are within the team and they get an opportunity to continue their form,” said Moody

This certainly is a negative sign for the players who haven't played this season and one of them is the West Indian giant Carlos Brathwaite.

Brathwaite has been an explosive all-rounder over a few years and has also played IPL with the Delhi Daredevils but there is a possibility that he might not even get a game this season.

Brathwaite is well known for his bashing of Ben Stokes who he hit 4 sixes in a row to win the T20 trophy for the West Indians.

Unlike previous season where they finished fourth, Sunrisers have been consistent in their performances this season and are table toppers to two games left.

Skipper Kane Williamson has been leading from the front. He has scored 544 runs in 12 matches and is placed 4th on the orange cap list.

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has been very effective in pressurizing opponents with a very low economy rate and wickets at crucial times.

They have been defeated only thrice with twice by Chennai Super Kings and once by Kings XI Punjab.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been in tremendous form this season topping the table in this season's Indian Premier League. The 2016 Champions have won the most number of league matches in IPL with nine wins out of 12 matches.
