IND vs NEP Asia Cup 2023 match was Shubman Gill's 29th ODI match and he now has 1514 runs to his name, which he scored at an average of 63.08.

Shubman Gill broke legendary South African opener Hashim Amla's world record of scoring fastest 1,500 ODI runs.

Hashim Amla took 30 innings to score 1500 ODI runs, followed by Ryan ten Doeschate (Netherlands) and George Bailey (Australia), who took 32 ODI innings each to reach 1500-run mark in ODIs.

Before Shubman Gill, star middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer held the record for scoring the fastest 1,500 ODI runs for India.

Shreyas Iyer, who made his ODI debut vs Sri Lanka in 2017 in Himachal Pradesh, took 34 innings to reach 1500-run mark in ODIs.
