G20 Summit: Biden, Sunak, Trudeau & Other World Leaders Arrive In New Delhi For High-Stake Diplomacy — PICS

Leaders from the world's major economies are meeting in India to discuss pressing geopolitical issues. The following are the global leaders who have already arrived in New Delhi for the G20 Summit.

New Delhi, the capital of India, is all set to welcome foreign delegates for the G20 Summit.

United States President Joe Biden touched down in Delhi on Friday evening, landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport aboard Air Force One. His visit is in anticipation of the G20 Summit taking place over the weekend.

During his stay, President Biden is scheduled to engage in bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The discussions may encompass various subjects, including potential agreements on fighter jet engines, procurement of predator drones, and cooperation in critical technology domains such as 5G and 6G networks.

Prior to his departure for India, President Biden shared a message on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing the benefits of G20 engagements, stating, "Every time we convene as the G20, we make progress."

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni arrived in Delhi on September 8th, marking her presence for the G20 Leaders' Summit. She was greeted at the National Capital by Minister of State for Agriculture Shobha Karandlaje.

The summit is scheduled for September 9 and 10 and will be held at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam located in Pragati Maidan.

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was the first foreign delegate to arrive in Delhi for the G20 Summit. His reception took place on Thursday (September 7th) and he was welcomed by Minister of State for Health, SP Singh Baghel.

Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), arrived in Delhi on Thursday night to participate in the G20 Summit.

In a moment of cultural exchange, Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, received a traditional welcome upon her arrival at the airport ahead of the G20 Summit in New Delhi on Thursday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in bilateral discussions with his Mauritian counterpart, Pravind Jugnauth, in New Delhi on Friday. Additionally, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held a meeting with Prime Minister Jugnauth, reiterating their commitment to advancing the "truly special partnership" between India and Mauritius.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, accompanied by his wife Akshata Narayana Murty, arrived in Delhi on Friday afternoon.

He was received by Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Ashwini Kumar Choubey.
