Bihar Man Opens Fire In Siwan Hospital, Hits Patient During Chase
A patient was injured in Bihar's Siwan when a criminal fired shots in a hospital, targeting a guard but striking the patient.

A miscreant opened fire at a hospital in Bihar's Siwan injuring one patient. The armed man, with a criminal record, initially targeted a guard but hit a patient.
The incident took place at a time when a criminal identified as Saddam Hussain surrendered in court on Tuesday, after which he was brought by the police to the same hospital for a medical checkup.
The police suspected that the shooter, Arbaz Alam, came to the hospital to kill Hussain, reported NDTV. The hospital guard saw the shooter entering the women's washroom in the hospital and tried to restrain him.
Before entering the washroom, Alam walked down the corridor openly holding a handgun. When the shooter resisted the guard's attempt to stop him from running, the guard swung his baton and hit Alam who then ran out of the hospital, the police said.
After reaching outside the hospital, he fired a few shots at the guard, which missed and hit a patient.

The patient was identified as Alok Tiwari, a local resident, who is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Other guards deployed at the hospital gate also joined the chase and together they managed to pin down the accused.
The shooter was soon handed over to the police and two bullets and a motorcycle were recovered from him, the cops said, adding he was under the influence.
On Sunday, unknown assailants shot at a security personnel twice at a government hospital in Bihar's Saharsa. The security personnel, identified as Sanjeev Kumar was seriously injured in the incident after which the doctors treated him.
According to local media reports, the condition of the security personnel was critical.
Sadar police station in-charge Subodh Kumar said that a police team was sent to the spot as soon as information about the firing was received.
Preliminary investigation revealed that one Bhanu Kumar had opened the fire. However, the reason for the attack was not been clear and police have started raids to arrest the accused.
