Sana Khan recently sat down in an interaction with Rubina Dilaik for her podcast, Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi, to talk about why she quit the entertainment industry and her views on women's clothing and more.

In Rubina Dilaik's podcast, Sana Khan shared her views about herself, why she underwent the transformation and about women's clothes.

Sana, who quit the entertainment industry in 2019, said to Rubina, "Har insaan ko acha lagta hai ki uski biwi modest rahe, haina? Kai baar main aise mardo ko dekhti hoon toh mujhe ajeeb lagta hai ki tum kaise apni biwion ko aise chuntu-muntu kapde pehena kar bahar leke chale jate ho? And you feel proud about it, and you say 'My wife is looking so hot', and ek random ladka bhi aapki biwi ko bol raha hai ki she is looking so hot, especially jab wo chote kapde pehen rahi hai."(Every man likes it when his wife is modest, right? Sometimes, I see men who take their wives out in such revealing clothes, and it feels strange to me. They feel proud about it and say, 'My wife is looking so hot,' while a random guy is also telling your wife that she looks so hot, especially when she's wearing such small clothes.")

"And you are proud of it? Like there has to be some kind of self-respect. You know she is your woman. You know in 2019, that was the time I knew, I am going to say bye to all this. That was the time I was doing something worse in my life, social media-wise. I used to think what people are seeing on my social media, I am not that person in real life. I used to wear certain kinds of clothes and dance. I thought I was misguiding youth," she added in her statement.

Sana also spoke about the time when she wore abayas, hijab and scarves during her Maldives holiday. In her interaction with Rubina, she said, "One thing that I saw was with the Muslim crowd. Jo ladies Muslim ho yaa modest ladies ho… they would say we earlier felt if you are going to Maldives you have to wear short clothes or swimwear only. Jo celebrities pehan ke dikhate hain… But when we saw your picture, we realized we can enjoy the Maldives even wearing Abayas. Then, I saw so many families who actually went to the Maldives who I knew, and they wore Abaya."

"They shared with me how they told their husbands that Sana wore, so why can’t we? I didn’t even think that it could bring about this change. I was like main toh abaya he pehenti hoon Yehi pehenke ghoomungi Maldives mein. I literally wore Jilbabs, abaya, scarf. My husband and I were playing table tennis in my hijab. Imagine in my hijab, I’m going snorkeling. We enjoyed so much there.”

Sana also spoke about the trolling that came her way over her choice of clothes in Maldives. She said though she was hurt by mean comments, she chose to stay calm. "I can’t feel angry on them because they don’t know what they are saying; I let go of these people. They don’t have knowledge about why I have suddenly had this change. I should not feel bad about it," she added.

Sana Khan chose the religious path and quit acting a few years ago. She was blessed with a baby boy in July 2023.
