EXCLUSIVE: 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke' Actor Ashiesh Roy In ICU, Runs Out Of Money; Fails To Sell House Amid Lockdown

Suraj Thapar, who is Ashiesh's close friend and has worked with him in 'Rishta Sajhedaari Ka' and remake of 'Hum Paanch', is trying to help him. Suraj told ABP News, "I am also trying my best to get some sort of help for him. We have also sought help from Salman Khan's 'Being Human Foundation'. They have not replied back yet. I am putting all my efforts and I hope people will help him in this critical time. "

Veteran actor Ashiesh Roy, who has featured in several TV shows including ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’, is has been admitted to Criticare hospital in Mumbai since the past one week. The actor, who is suffering from diabetes, has been put on dialysis. Ashish is also facing financial issues amid the Coronavirus lockdown.

On the professional front, Ashiesh Roy has also featured in shows like 'Yes Boss', 'Byomkesh Bakshi' and 'Banegi Apni Baat'. Ashiesh Roy has lent his voice for the characters in Hollywood films like ‘Superman Returns’, ‘Guardian of the Galaxy’, ’The Dark Knight’, ‘The Legend 'of Tarzan’ and ‘Joker’. He has also translated many of these films in Hindi.

Ashish further said, "I understand that due to the lockdown, people are facing issues as they don’t have work and money. In such a situation it will be difficult for me to get any kind of financial help, but if people help me now, I promise to return their money back.”

Ashiesh Roy was hospitalized earlier this year after he suffered a mild paralytic stroke. He spent Rs 9 lakh on his medical treatment and his deposits took a major hit. The actor didn’t work in the past few months and hence, he is struggling with financial crisis. Ashiesh told ABP News, “I tried to sell my house in Andheri a few months back and even received Rs 2 lakh as advance. However, the concerned person lost his job during the lockdown and the deal got cancelled. I spent Rs 2 lakh on his treatment and hence I requested my friends on Facebook to help me.”

Ashiesh Roy, while exclusively talking to ABP News over the phone from the ICU, said, "When I was admitted to the hospital on 14 May, I had only Rs 2 lakh, which have spent in the treatment. Now, I require Rs 4 lakh more for my dialysis. However, I am not getting any help from anywhere. In such a situation, I feel that I will have to stop my treatment.” We asked him if stopping the treatment in between wouldn’t prove to be dangerous for his health. He said, "What else can I do? I will leave everything to God now."
