Some religious groups objected to the film's title and claimed that it was misleading as the flick had nothing to do with 'Ramlila'. The makers of Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain starrer 'Loveratri' had to change the title to 'Loveyatri' after Vishva Hindu Parishad registered a complaint against the producers for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus. Advocate Sudhir Ojha, who filed a PIL against the romantic drama, had accused the makers of making fun of the festival of Navratri.

Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Judgementall Hai Kya' was originally titled 'Mental Hai Kya'. However, the makers had to changed the title after Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) objected to the film's name and filed a complaint to the Central Board of Film Certification.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic drama 'Padmaavat' was embroiled into several controversies before its release. The film, originally titled 'Padmavati', was slated to hit the silver screens on December 1, 2017. However, it got delayed due to protests. Many fringe groups had raised objections over the film's content. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali even received threats of violence. The magnum opus also starred Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

The makers of Akshay Kumar's much-awaited 'Laxmmi Bomb' have changed the film's title to 'Laxmii' after discussing with the CBFC. The producers have taken the decision the rename the film as 'Laxmii' to respect the sentiments of the audience. The horror comedy drama has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled earlier this month. Several social media users had expressed their displeasure over the film's title as they believed that it insulted Hindi Goddess Laxmi. Many big Bollywood films have changed the original titles after facing the brunt.
