Parineeti Chopra, Diljit Dosanjh Share BTS PICS From 'Chamkila' Sets

Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh are gearing up for the release of their upcoming Netflix drama 'Chamkila' that releases on the streaming giant on April 12.

Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh starrer 'Chamkila' will release on Netflix on April 12.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, 'Chamkila' is based on the life-story of Amar Singh Chamkila, who rose from poverty to become a popular figure in the 1980s music scene, only to meet a tragic end at the age of 27.

Diljit Dosanjh will be seen essaying the role of Amar Singh Chamkila while Parineeti will portray the role of his girlfriend Amarjot Kaur.

Both Parineeti and Diljit took to their Instagram handles to share a series of behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets of the film.

Regarded as one of Punjab's greatest live-stage performers, Chamkila's story is one of musical brilliance and controversy.

Thanking Imtiaz Ali, Parineeti wrote, "your direction was unparalleled; you truly led the ship with finesse. Your vision and passion set a new standard."

Parineeti called Diljit Dosanjh the "perfect co-star, making every moment on set enjoyable and effortless."

The music of 'Chamkila' has been given by music maestro AR Rahman.
