Delhi BJP Leader GS Bawa Found Hanging At Park Near His Residence; Police Suspect Suicide

Incident happened on Monday evening. Locals out for a walk in the area found Bawa hanging from a grill at a lake inside a park in Subhash Nagar area of Delhi at around 6 pm yesterday.

In a shocking turn of events, Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi Pradesh former vice president Gurvinder Singh Bawa was found hanging at a park near his residence in West Delhi on Monday.

Though the real cause of death remains uncertain, police officials probing the matter suspect that the 58-year-old Bawa committed suicide over some domestic issues. According to media reports, no suicide has been recovered yet and hence, the Delhi police have not announced the reason behind Bawa's demise as yet.

Reports have claimed that incident happened on Monday evening. Locals out for a walk in the area found Bawa hanging from a grill at a lake inside a park in Subhash Nagar area of Delhi at around 6 pm yesterday.

 Soon, they informed the police. Upon acknowleding the incident, cops reached the site shortly and identified the deceased as West Delhi BJP leader, GS Bawa. The police is investigating the case while the body has been sent for post-mortem.

Earlier this month, BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma was found dead, hanging at his Gomti Apartments in Delhi on March 17. The 62-year-old veteran leader from Himachal was suffering from severe depression and was under treatment for the last six months.
