Wamiqa Gabbi Says She Would Love To 'Steal' Karan Johar From Alia Bhatt, Here’s Why

Wamiqa Gabbi candidly shared that if she could steal anything from Alia, it would be none other than Karan himself.

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, who made her big-screen debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year, quickly rose to stardom with acclaimed films like Highway, 2 States, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and more. Today, she’s considered one of the most successful and bankable actors in the industry — a journey that many, including fellow celebrities, believe was strongly shaped by Karan Johar’s unwavering support.

Now, actor Wamiqa Gabbi has joined the conversation, candidly sharing that if she could steal anything from Alia, it would be none other than Karan himself.

Wamiqa Gabbi on Wanting Karan Johar’s Support

In a chat with Nayandeep Rakshit, Wamiqa was asked what she would like to steal from Alia Bhatt. She replied, “Karan Johar,” and elaborated: “Because he has been her biggest supporter, and I think to have someone that powerful, talented and in that position — and to have that love that you share with that person, to have that person in your life — isn’t that a beautiful thing?”

She didn’t stop there — Wamiqa also revealed what she’d love to have from a few other stars: Ananya Panday’s flawless skin, Keerthy Suresh’s humility, Varun Dhawan’s energy, Shah Rukh Khan’s legacy, and Kriti Sanon’s height.

Fans React: “Finally, a Celeb Said It Aloud!”

Wamiqa’s statement sparked a lively discussion online. Many Reddit users drew parallels with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s previous remarks about Karan Johar’s backing of Alia Bhatt.

One user wrote, “Ash ki beti Wamiqa has more guts than nepo chaplus (She has more guts than nepo kids).” Another commented, “Aishwarya, Kangana, Kriti, and now Wamiqa! Alia keeps getting exposed!”

A third added, “Alia won’t like this compliment. Aishwarya to Aishwarya lookalike — they’re all saying the same thing.”

Some agreed with Wamiqa’s bold honesty, saying, “It’s absolutely true though. Alia would’ve been launched by the Bhatts if not for KJo. She wouldn’t have her current career without his constant lobbying and support.”

Another user summed it up: “Finally, a celeb said it aloud about KJo and Alia — lol.”

When Aishwarya Rai Spoke About Alia’s Privilege

A few years ago, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also spoke openly about Alia’s advantageous position in the industry.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she said: “I’ve said this to her also — it’s fantastic for you, the kind of support Karan has given to her from the beginning. To have that kind of establishment with you is very comforting. It’s not tough to have it laid out for you for the longest time.”

She further added, “It’s great for you as an actor, as there is only good work and good opportunities ahead. What’s nice is she’s also doing good work along with great opportunities, which are virtually there on her lap, literally, regularly. So, it’s nice she is doing good work within that. So kudos.”

What’s Next for Alia Bhatt and Wamiqa Gabbi?

On the work front, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for her next big project, Alpha, part of the YRF Spy Universe, which also stars Sharvari and is directed by Shiv Rawail. The film is expected to hit theatres in December. She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in her lineup.

Meanwhile, Wamiqa Gabbi will next be seen in the upcoming Netflix series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
