Vicky Kaushal Begins Prep For 'Sam Bahadur'
'Sam Bahadur' stars Vicky Kaushal, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
New Delhi: Vicky Kaushal has begun preparing for his upcoming film 'Sam Bahadur'. The film is being directed by Meghna Gulzar, who previously worked with Vicky in 'Raazi' which also starred Alia Bhatt. The actor portrays the role of the legendary leader, Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Sam Maneskshaw.
Vicky shared the film prep announcement news on Instagram. In the picture that Vicky shared, we see the script of 'Sam Bahadur' alongside a diary and a notebook besides a few old photographs of the Field Marshal. Vicky captioned the image, "Here we go… Prep starts!!! #SAMBAHADUR."
Neha Dhupia was among the first to comment with, "All the best!"
Vicky's father Sham Kaushal also commented, "All the best Puttar. Blessings & best wishes to the whole team. 😊🤗."
'Sam Bahadur' is a biopic, another historical piece that Meghna Gulzar will dramatize after 'Raazi'. 'Sam Bahadur' also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
In December 2021, Vicky Kaushal and Meghna Gulzar had announced a collaboration with a post on Instagram. Vicky had shared a picture of himself with his co-stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, and also with the director and wrote, “It's a very special day for us as we celebrate our director Meghna Gulzar's birthday and welcome the leading ladies Sanya Malhotra as Silloo Manekshaw and Fatima Sana Shaikh as Smt. Indira Gandhi to the Sam Bahadur family!”
Meghna Gulzar had also shared a similar picture and captioned it, "50 years ago, this week, India triumphed in the historic 1971 war. Another reason it is also special for us is that we welcome Sanya Malhotra as Silloo Manekshaw and Fatima Sana Shaikh as Smt. Indira Gandhi to our Sam Bahadur family! Eager to experience this very special journey!”
Back in 2019, Vicky had shared his look as Sam Manekshaw from the film and announced his association with the film. Ever since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for the film to go on floors and eventually release.
