‘She’s Painting Me Villain’: Uorfi Javed Breaks Down While Responding To Apoorva Mukhija’s Allegations
Uorfi Javed has finally addressed the controversy surrounding her heated argument with co-contestant Apoorva Mukhija on 'The Traitors'.

As the Indian adaptation of 'The Traitors' continues to heat up on Prime Video, contestants Apoorva Mukhija and Uorfi Javed have found themselves at the centre of a public fallout. Hours after Apoorva posted a video recounting an alleged off-camera insult from Uorfi, the latter has now broken her silence, pushing back against the narrative that paints her in a negative light.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Uorfi posted an emotional video where she said, “I literally didn't want to do any of this, I feel pathetic right now after seeing Apoorva's YouTube video. She is painting me like a villain, which I am not. I am literally shivering right now.”
Uorfi went on to share that the situation stemmed from deeper insecurities and that she became teary-eyed while speaking about it.
“I’ve been disrespected for years on the internet,” she said. “Mere andar insecurity paida ho gayi hai ke main respect demand karti hoon.” She admitted that she might have overreacted out of ego when she felt insulted by Apoorva in front of others, but clarified that her intention was never to demean anyone.
Uorfi Javed Shares WhatsApp Chat With Apoorva Mukhija
The fashion influencer also accused Apoorva of being two-faced. Uorfi revealed WhatsApp chats allegedly exchanged after the incident and claimed the drama was partially planned. “This was all planned, her storytime, the exaggeration… She’s making me look bad,” Uorfi added, sharing a screenshot of their conversation.

In her video, Uorfi also mentioned that a day before the on-screen altercation, Apoorva had dismissed another contestant, Jannat Zubair Rahmani's emotional breakdown, saying, “Kya ye parents ke liye ro rahi hai, kya ye pagalpanti hai.” She contrasted this with Apoorva’s own reaction when she cried the next day and lashed out at Uorfi.
Karan Johar hosts the Indian edition of the popular Dutch reality series 'The Traitors', which premiered on Prime Video on June 12. In a dramatic twist early in the show, Raj Kundra was the first to be eliminated.
