New Delhi: Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has been keeping his fans on edge with updates from the set of ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ that he has been filming in South Africa. He is now in South Africa filming Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning, parts 1 and 2. To show his appreciation to his fans for helping make ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ one of the year's most successful Hollywood films, he shared a video of himself skydiving in between scenes.

Just hours ago, Tom Cruise posted a video with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage. The video shows the action hero and his crew getting ready for a long-planned stunt in which he would jump from a helicopter off a cliff.

Thanking his fans, he said, “Hey everyone, here we are over stunning South Africa, and we're filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning parts one and two. I didn't want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theatres, and thank you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick.”

Christopher McQuarrie, the film's director, touches Tom Cruise on the shoulder to insist the actor take the shot. He can be heard saying, “Hey, listen, we really have got to roll. We've got to get this shot.”

Cruise hops out of the jet and says, “As always, thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honor of a lifetime. I’m running out of altitude, so I’ve got to get back to work. We’ve got to get this shot. You have a very safe and happy holiday. We’ll see you at the movies.”

Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible films, which debuted in 1996, became a cult classic with the success of the fourth installment. His many admirers are once again inspired by his bravery and enthusiasm for dangerous stunts.
