Dhanush is making his Hollywood debut with the Russo Brothers’ film ‘The Gray Man’. The film, also starring, Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, and Regé-Jean Page, will premiere on Netflix on July 22.
Ahead of the film’s release, a special screening was held for the media and stakeholders on July 10. The film received a positive response from the critics with almost everyone heaping praises on Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.
One of the critics, Courtney Howard tweeted her review of the film and mentioned Dhanush’s scenes in the film. She wrote that his scenes are sharp and ruthless. Here’s what she tweeted, “.@Russo_Brother’ #TheGrayMan has unrelenting, well-constructed action sequences. Battle of wits, bullets & brawn. Ryan Gosling & @ChrisEvans share excellent repartee (and sleazebag facial hair!). Ana de Armas is badass & beauty. Dhanush’s scenes are ruthless & sharp (sic)."
Meanwhile, Dhanush in a press interaction revealed how he got the role in ‘The Gray Man’. Dhanush was asked how he got the project and he replied, “I don’t know how I ended up in this film. The casting agency in India told me that they have a Hollywood project for me. They said it is a big film. So I said okay. I asked which film, what film? They said it is a big film. So I said alright, and it can’t get bigger than this.”
He further added: “I was thrilled and very excited. Of course, I don’t get to say much in the film. I was super thrilled and was looking for an opportunity to learn and explore.”
Russo Brothers also made a special announcement earlier today that they will be coming to India for the release of The Gray Man. They said, “Hey everyone! I am Joe Russo and I am Anthony Russo and we’re so excited to be coming to India to see our dear friend Dhanush for our new movie ‘The Gray Man’. Get ready India, see you soon.”
‘The Gray Man’ is based on the book of the same name by Mark Greaney.
