Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Amal Sehrawat down with dengue

New Delhi: Actor Amal Sehrawat, populary known as Sangram Singh of popular soap opera "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" is down with Dengue. According to the reports, the actorhas taken off from his busy schedule and is on complete bed rest these days. While talking to leading entertainment portal Tellychakkar,  Amal said, “Yes, I was visiting the slum area regularly to research on my next role, for a movie. I think a naughty mosquito must have bit me there (smiles).” “I got uncontrollable shivering, followed by very high fever and lot of weakness. When I visited the doctor he referred me lot of tests and I was diagnosed with dengue. I am taking lots of liquids and am on complete bed rest at the moment. However, I am surely on the road to recovery,” he further added. The actor portrayed a gay character in a film titled "Gay Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai". His character's name is Vimlesh in the film and Alok Nath is playing his father-in-law. This film has a positive message on gay marriage. Asked about his opinion on gay rights in the country, Amal said: "We have over-hyped the whole issue. In India, sex is still a taboo. Physical intimacy and sexual preference are two different things.
