'We Did Not Bother Anyone': Bharti Singh Shares She Went Into Labour During Khatra Khatra Shoot

Bharti Singh said she had her first contractions when she was on stage performing on The Khatra Khatra Show.

New Delhi: In a recent interview, actor-host Bharti Singh revealed that the first signs of labour pains began while she was performing on stage for her show ‘The Khatra Khatra Show’. Bharti and Haarsh Limbachiyaa welcomed their son, Laksh, in April of last year. The actress returned to her job only 12 days after giving birth to her baby, earning praise and admiration from fans and peers alike.

Bharti Singh said she had her first contractions when she was on stage performing on The Khatra Khatra Show. It wasn't until the comedienne informed her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, that she took the pain seriously.

Bharti discussed the incident with Pinkvilla and remembered the day, saying, “In the first pregnancy, you don’t realise that this is labour pain so I thought I’ll call the doctor after the shot. I thought that maybe it’s because I’m standing a lot while hosting the game show. So I called the doctor and said that there is a pain but it is not constant, it’s coming and going and the doctor said this is labour pain. When it starts happening every 15 minutes, you should come in.”

The actress Bharti Singh said that she had wrapped up filming for the day and returned home. She said, “Then at around 4-5 am, it was time to go to the hospital. So me and Haarsh, we did not bother anyone, didn’t call anyone, no staff members, no parents. We took our bag, he got the car ready and we left.”

Bharti added that they did not want to bother anyone, “We were thinking why bother anyone? We are going for a good thing.”

Haarsh Limbachiyaa and Bharti announced the arrival of their son by posting a photo of himself and Bharti from their maternity session with the caption, "It's a BOY."
