Udaan NOT going off air; To REPLACE THIS show on Colors TV
Vijayendra Kumeria and Meera Deosthale starrer ‘Udaan’ was all set to bid adieu to the viewers on September 28. The social drama, which has been entertaining the viewers since August 2014, has been given an extension by the channel. Filmy Monkey had earlier reported that the show may get an extension depending on the ratings and it seems the wishes of the fans have been fulfilled. The fans have been requesting the makers to not shut the show and instead give it a new time slot. As per the latest buzz, the show will vacate its 8:30pm slot and move to an early evening slot on Colors TV.
A report in an entertainment portal suggested that Udaan will move to 7pm slot, thus replacing Shivin Narang & Tunisha Sharma’s ‘Internet Wala Love’.
In case, you are thinking ‘Internet Wala Love’ will go off air, we will stop you right there. The romantic drama will move to 6:30pm slot from October, the report in India Forums said.
‘Savitri Devi College and Hospital’, which currently airs at 6:30pm slot will be shifted to 6pm, the report added.
‘Udaan’ witnessed a spike in its ratings last week and became the number two daily soap on the channel and hence Colors TV took the decision to extend the show.
‘Udaan’ will be replaced by Shaheer Sheikh and Sonarika Bhadoria’s upcoming show ‘Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali’ at the 8:30pm slot from October 1. The promo featuring Shaheer & Sonarika as Salim & Anarkali is already making waves on social media.
